I didn't know where to fit this in, but I needed some comment regarding the Truly Legendary Screenwriting Team behind this movie: I'm talking about the Mighty Pen of Duo Ashley Miller and Zack Stentz whose credits include...um...only Agent Cody Banks (2003). Also Fringe and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles. Ouch.

Well, Naturally they're rounded out by Don Payne who wrote...Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007) and My Super Ex-Girlfriend (2006). What?! Payne was also a Simpsons writer (yeah, Seasons 12 on). Holy hell, how did Thor get off the ground. Using a magic hammer of course! Wheeeeee!

I just watched The Day the Earth Stood Still (2008) on FX, Jaden Smith in that movie may win for worst movie kid ever, he's a little prick that causes so many sincere problems for every other character. Also why the hell can't Jennifer Connelly communicate with him at all on the most basic level? No wonder he doesn't listen to you, Jen, you're a terrible mother. That movie wasn't even that bad actually but these two main characters were insufferable together

How do you feel about the argument that this works as a B-Movie outside of studio influence? It's just really some hokey shit disguised with passable enough effects that we expect more from it than we should instead of just enjoying the ride.

Although the ride really isn't that exploitive or enjoyable. Machete works as a B-Movie. Skyline only works as suck.
